Mathias Payer

Mathias Payer is currently struggling through his PhD studies at ETH Zurich. His research interests are user-level sandboxes, virtual machines, low level optimizations, software transactional memory and everything that is (i) fun, (ii) low level, (iii) hacky.

During his time at ETH he works at different sandboxing and binary translation solutions and developed fastBT together with some great students. fastBT is a fast binary translator and a playground for new low level optimizations for indirect control transfers. The work in fastBT was then extended to secuBT which can be used as a user-level sandbox.

If you want to know more: Go have a beer and chat with him ;)
