Carolin Kimmig is a physics Master student at Heidelberg University. She works on the formation and evolution of planets and protoplanetary disks in the research group of Prof. Dullemond at the Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics Heidelberg.

Programming, simulating and computational calculations are part of her daily work to compute and evaluate scientific data as much as working with pen and paper on physical theories and equations.
