Dawn Walker (dcwalk) is a member of Environmental Data & Governance Initiative (EDGI) and a PhD student at the Faculty of Information, University of Toronto. Passionate about building capacity within communities, her research focuses on forms of participation in the design of civic technologies and their ongoing use. In particular, she seeks to understand how environmental monitoring techniques materialize “data justice” through novel interventions for environmental accountability.
