Hash-flooding DoS reloaded: attacks and defenses |
Martin Boßlet
Martin works as a freelance software engineer and security consultant. He helped the European Commission in setting up a digital signature platform focusing on the European signature standards CAdES, XAdES and PAdES and has developed many security-related products for the financial sector, governmental institutions and CAs. Where others are quickly repelled with disgust, he actually seems to like RFCs, strange acronyms and the delicacies of certificate validation in the context of timestamping; but then again, we have to keep in mind that he even seems to be able to find a certain beauty in ASN.1/DER.
As of 2010, he is a member of the core development team of the Ruby language, acting as one of the maintainers of the OpenSSL extension, Ruby’s default cryptography library. In 2011, he was granted one of the first Ruby Association Grants for his project krypt, an attempt at providing a platform- and library-independent cryptography framework for Ruby.
