Luke Gotszling
Luke Gotszling was first introduced to a Commodore 64 in the late 1980s as a toddler. His love of computers and hacking has evolved since. He recently started graduate research in nuclear magnetic resonance quantum computation. Luke's other interests include cryptography, financial markets, and poker.
Luke Gotszling has recently completed work on a model for hostile traffic detection for the Information Trust Institute at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, Illinois, USA. Rather than focus on signature based detection, the model works by observing other variables in network data. There is considerable difficulty with new threats in current methods for the detection hostile traffic. The use of Bayesian inference is well established for SPAM email and neural networks have been shown to be effective in virus detection, the model attempts to combine the two.
