Speaker: Steph Maj Swanson
Steph Maj Swanson (@supercomposite) is an artist and writer based in Uppsala, Sweden. She is best known for her story about the AI-generated woman Loab, which was featured in media outlets all around the world, quickly becoming the subject of fan art, online debate, and academic writing. Steph’s other writing was called “disturbing” by The Washington Post, and her body of video and still image work has been described by Galleries West as “the merging of repulsive with beautiful.” She has also written on the topic of AI for Vice Motherboard. Most recently, Steph debuted her deepfake video installation "Suicide III" at DEF CON in Las Vegas.
