Thomas Fricke is a founder of two companies.
He is giving workshops and trainings on Kubernetes, with focus on container and network security.
At the moment his main projects are modernizing the IT infrastructure of the German administration.
Starting with the Apple ][e in 1980 he introduced new computer systems wherever he worked. This includes Unix and Linux at the RWTH Aachen and Humboldt University in the '90s and nowadays Kubernetes cluster on premises and in the clouds.
Nearly in every project he detected minor or major vulnerabilities reported to the authors of the software.
He is involved in several projects for the German administration modernizing and securing the next generation of software and hardware in government data centers. He promotes security by design, GitOps, Zero Admin approaches and tries to enforce a strict security first policy in all projects.
