Markus Beckedahl
Markus Beckedahl has been blogging on netzpolitik.org about politics and the digital society since 2002. Markus is an active partner and senior consultant at newthinking GmbH and also co-founder and host of Germany's largest blogger and social media conference re:publica.
He is a member of German parliaments committee of inquiry on Internet and digital society, a member of the media board of the Berlin-Brandenburg broadcasting regulation authority MABB and a personal member of the german UNESCO commission. Markus also supports Creative Commons Germany as an project-manager in the area of community-building and public relations. Further, Markus chairs the German digital rights group Digitale Gesellschaft e.V.
