Ralf Bendrath
Ralf Bendrath is a political scientist and a researcher on privacy policy at the Collaborative Research Center "Transformations of the State", University of Bremen. He is a founding member of the Netzwerk Neue Medien (NNM) and is also active in groups like European Digital Rights (EDRi), the German Working Group on Data Retention (AK Vorrat) and Chaostreff Bremen.

Previously, Ralf Bendrath has worked on Information Warfare and the role of ICTs in the Military, and among other things has organized the first nternational conference on arms control in cyberspace in 2001. He was chief editor of the leading civil society website for the World Summit on the Information Society (www.worldsummit2005.org) from 2003-2005, and was civil society member in the German government delegation to the WSIS World Summits 2003 and 2005. He is co-coordinator of the WSIS civil society Privacy & Security Working Group.
