Joe
Joe Bowser is co-founder of the Vancouver Hack Space, and in the past has volunteered with various other Infoshops and Activist Projects. He also wrote the Android version of a popular mobile application framework, and maintains it as his day job.
Joe Bowser is a software/hardware hacker, and co-founder of the Vancouver Hack Space (VHS). In the past, he has volunteered at Spartacus Books, Canada's longest running Radical Bookstore and Infoshop, as well as worked with various activist groups in various capacities, including groups that were opposed to the Vancouver/Whistler 2010 Winter Olympic Games. Once listed as a "Critical Threat to Olympics Infrastructure", he now spends his time researching and investigating the activities of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS), the Canadian Border Services Agency(CBSA) and the Communications Security Establishment of Canada (CSEC), and documenting what he finds both on his own blog and on the Vancouver Media Co-op website.
When he is not inciting the wrath of the Canadian State, he works on various software and hardware projects, and currently works at a mobile software development company in Vancouver, Canada, where he develops open source software.
