Solid rocket engines
Design and implementation of engines with solid propellant
We will present the design and construction of a solid rocket motor and discuss results from recent test campaigns.
Solid rocket motors are cheap, reliable and have been used for several centuries. Although inferior in specific impulse compared to hybrid and liquid engines, this class of thermochemical engines have still advantages regarding complexity and reliability.
